myPVR Support

OpenVPN is used to provide secure remote support to myPVR customers. The OpenVPN support menu allows a customer to easily enable/disable the VPN access. You can enter the OpenVPN support menu as follows -

• Main Menu
  • myPVR ->
    • myPVR Support Tools ->
      • OpenVPN Support

It should be noted that we use a very secure VPN layer that can only connect to the OpenMedia central VPN support server.

VPN Status

This reports on the status of the support VPN, current key, and IP Address.

VPN Enable

This will attempt to start the VPN, and make sure it always starts after a reboot.

VPN Disable

This will stop the VPN, and make sure it does not start after a reboot.

VPN Start

This will start the VPN, but will not enable it on boot.

VPN Stop

This will shut-down any currently running VPN.

VPN Restart

This will restart the VPN, and is useful if there have been problems connecting to the VPN support system.

VPN Install

This option is currently disabled.
