Build A Music Playlist

Building music playlists require time and patience. However, once you have completed your playlists, they are an excellent shortcut to a selection of music that suits whatever mood you are in at any given time.
Main Menu
Go to the main myPVR menu by pressing ether

  • the green button on the remote control, or
  • Ctrl+Alt+Enter on the keyboard.

Then select the following menu path

  • Utilities/Setup
    • Music Tools
      • Select Music

Main Menu Use the right arrow to scroll along from All My Music to the alphabetical list of artists. Select the artist, album, track that you want on your playlist. Using wither the

  • OK button on the remote control, or
  • the Enter key on the keyboard

you can select a selection of artists, single artist’s collection, whole album or single track. Repeat this process until you have selected all the albums and/or tracks that you wish to have on your playlist.

Once you have made your selection, return to Active Play Queue and press either

  • Menu on your remote control, or
  • M on your keyboard.

Main Menu This will bring up your new playlist menu. Using the keyboard, you can give the playlist a name, then select Copy To New Playlist. You will also have the options of creating an MP3 CD from that playlist, or clear the Play Queue that you have created to start again. Once you have created a playlist you can also add to it.

Go to Select Music, then All My Playlists, then scroll across to the playlist that you want to edit. Push Menu on your remote control or M on your keyboard and you will have the choice to move that playlist to the Active Play Queue, Delete that playlist, or rename the playlist.

Some suggestions for playlist themes and names:

  • Classical
  • Dance
  • Everyday music
  • Kid’s songs
  • Kiwi music
  • Party start-up
  • Party theme (keeps in alphabetical order)
  • Party wind down
  • R & B
  • Rock music
  • Sunday afternoon
